Matchmaker used to be divided into many small communities based on geography, religion, age and interest. We have opened up the database so that you are now part of a much larger, global network of singles. Now it is easier to find singles who are right for you.
In addition, because Matchmaker is powered by online dating leader, Date.com, you have the ability to interact with the millions of singles from Matchmaker and the millions more from Date.
Chat Room
Our new Chat Room is a great place to meet other singles in your local area or from around the world.
Our Chat Room is equipped with Video Chat so you can see others while chatting, and if you have a video camera, they can see you. This feature is only available to paid members so go ahead and Upgrade to Gold now.
Instant Messenger
Email is a great way to meet other singles, however, our Instant Messenger makes it even easier. Our new IM feature allows you to meet people immediately without having to waiting for an email response.
Find people to IM by clicking on Who's Online located in the main navigation bar and then going to the Who's Online sub-section or the IM Online sub-section.
Only Gold Members can initiate an IM conversation, so go ahead and Upgrade to Gold now.
Search
Search has been improved and re-organized to make finding people easier, more effective, and so you can find the person who is right for you.

Cupid is a newsletter that goes out containing pictures of singles from your area. If you don't have a chance to log in frequently, this is a great way to see some new people that you may want to meet.
Mail
All mail that you received on Matchmaker will remain intact and is still available to you on the new Matchmaker. Any mail that you have sent via the old system has also been imported.
Take a look for yourself, go to your Mail section.
Hot List Information
All information from your Hot List has been updated and it can now be found in the Contact section In the Messages Section under the Sub-Tab called "Favorites"

Profile Information
We have removed several essay questions that were largely unanswered by most members in the community but most essay questions remain as they were in the old system. If you filled out an essay that was deleted, we apologize for this, and realize the frustration that you must feel.
We have added Partner Information as a new and optional question to add to your profile. By filling out this information you will have better matches and those people looking at your profile will know exactly what you are interested in.
Update your profile with Partner Information or take a look at what your new profile looks like.
